Element Legends The Old World DOUBLES Oct 5th

This will be the second Warhammer The Old World DOUBLES event to be held at Element Games, so saddle your mounts and load your bolt throwers!



***THIS TICKET GRANTS ENTRY TO A PAIR OF TWO PLAYERS***



Prizes will be in the form of Element Games gift vouchers, and will be available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd placed teams and Best Opponents, and Best Painted Army (I.E. Best Painted single 1,000pt force in event).



ARMY CHOICE: Any Warhammer The Old World army can be used for this event, including Legacy armies, BUT PARTNERS MAY NOT USE THE SAME FACTIONS. PROXY MODELS ARE PERMITTED PROVIDING IT IS CLEAR TO YOUR OPPONENTS WHAT THEY REPRESENT.



We'll be using the Open War Army Composition from p.13 of the July 2025 Matched Play Guide.


Players MAY USE "THE RENEGADE LEGACY PACK" (Square Based / community written / unofficial) army lists when building their armies.



WE ARE NOW USING THE DOUBLES EVENTS RULES AND SCENARIOS FROM THE JULY 2025 MATCHED PLAY GUIDE, ***BUT NOT SECONDARY OBJECTIVES OR SECRET OBJECTIVES***



MUSTERING YOUR FORCE

Each player will require a force of no more than 1,000 points combined with their partners force to create a 2,000 point army to play at this event. Details for choosing your army can be found in the Warhammer Armies section of the Warhammer: the Old World rulebook (page 276) AND THE MATCHED PLAY GUIDE (p.36).



***ARMY LISTS ARE REQUIRED EITHER PRINTED OR ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE USING WWW.OLD-WORLD-BUILDER.COM on the day, and must be submitted on BCP by MIDNIGHT on THURSDAY OCT 2ND***



This event will be run using BCP. EVENT LINK TO FOLLOW. Please download and register to the app on your mobile device for the best experience.



BCP now has the 20-0 Differential scoring system in place and this will be in use for the event. This is based on community feedback. This system starts each player on 10 points, and then amends each player's score based on difference in points destroyed; minimum 0 / maximum 20.



This event will be run using the Battle Scenarios FROM THE SAME NEW MATCHED PLAY GUIDE.



Round 1: Upon The Field Of Glory (p,20)



Round 2: Close Quarters (p.23)



Round 3: Forward Battlelines (p.39)



NUMBER OF UNITS: As described on page 278 of the Warhammer: the Old World rulebook, the number of some of the available units is restricted. In Matched Play events, there is an additional limit of 0-3 applied to any units that are not otherwise restricted by the army composition list you are using.



For example, if you are fielding an Empire of Man army using the Grand Army composition list, you can only include 0-1 unit of Veteran State Troops per 1,000 points, but you can field as many units of Free Company Militia as you wish.



When writing your muster list for a Matched Play event, you can only include 0-3 units of Free Company Militia. The limit on Veteran State Troops remains unaffected. Note however that any units taken as Detachments are not counted towards this limit.



When mustering your force please use the most up to date rules found in the Ravening Hordes and Forces of Fantasy publications, and any Arcane Journals, Matched Play Guides, FAQs, errata, and beta rules found via www.warhammer-community.com/faqs.



You can use either the Grand Army composition list for your chosen faction or you can use an Army of Infamy list from your faction’s Arcane Journal.



Mercenaries can be used at the event, and named characters from the Arcane Journals are allowed.



PAINTING STANDARD: PAINTING STANDARD: The 3-colour minimum policy will be adopted for this event I.E. Every model in the army must have at least 3 colours applied to it. Come on people, these incredible models deserve at least a decent paint job, and how much better is a game of Warhammer with fully painted armies!? Award available for Best Painted Army to be voted on during lunch break. Ask your TO for more details on the day.
